My parents use to make us "phone Santa". We would be in the living room and dial the number my mom gave us [random digits of course] and my dad would be in another room in the house, taking the order! Worked like a dream. Looking back I must admire my parents' creativity for their hi-tech Santa! Thought provoking message Belinda - really made me think how we loose our magic as we age! It would be so nice not to think and worry about tomorrow's problems, but being responsible for little ones that look into your eyes for tomorrow's plate of food, it makes it almost impossible not to think and worry about the tomorrows. But YES, let's be like kids during this festive season and enjoy every day for what it is!! Laugh until your stomach aches and you can't breathe anymore, face your worst fear and conquer it, tell your loved once how much you appreciate them and love them, cook an extra plate of food and give (just for once) a homeless guy a nice warm meal to eat - it may not mean anything to you, but it will mean the world to that poor guy, AND drink lots and lots of wine!. We've got so much to be thankful for!!! It is sad that we loose our magic, but I also think it’s part & parcel of being a grown up.
